-
What makes your adventure travels unique? Our adventure travel experiences are unique because of our commitment to quality, personalised service, and our team's expertise in creating memorable adventures. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional trips that exceed expectations.
-
Is your trip for me if I have never tried kiting before?Of course. But only in a private lesson arranged beforehand. The extra costs of the private lessons depend on the pre-booked hours. Most places we organize kitesurfing trips to are perfect for starting your kite adventure. But we always advise first to have a beginner lesson at your local kitesurfing school. So you can experience if this is something for you.
-
What level of kitesurfing should I have to take part in Xtreme Nomads kitesurf holidays and the group tuition? You do not have to be at a very advanced level to take part in the holiday. What matters most is independence, you need to be able to take off and land safely, ride freely into the wind, recover the board correctly, and have basic knowledge of self-rescue. Our holidays are aimed at exploring and improving these skills, getting rid of the fear of e.g. deep water, strong wind, learning how to do self-rescue in practice, improving your position, and, of course, learning the desired tricks or starting an adventure with a foil, surfboard or a wing.
-
Is there any free time during the trip?Of course! Time to regenerate the body and mind is an integral part of every holiday! We consult with the group the schedule on a daily basis, and do our best to accommodate. And if you decide to take a day off and skip a session, that's all fine too!
-
What will we do if there is not enough wind to conduct the planned kiting activities effectively? We always try to use the wind as much as possible. In light wind, we can practice on a directional board, foil or wing if possible. However, if there comes a time when it is not possible to conduct classes because of too little or too much wind, we have several alternatives. We can teach you the right of way, setting up or repairing your own equipment, self-rescue in deeper water, and we can even practice 'dry' tricks using a bar on land to simulate kiting experience. In case of no wind, and after exhausting previous alternatives, we can engage in other fun activities. We have carefully chosen our trip locations to make sure that there is always something fun to do. You certainly won't be bored. Oh no!
-
Will I get a diploma or license after the course?Yes. If you take part in our tuition, you will receive a card that will confirm your skills level according to BKSA standards. Once you reach an appropriate level of skills, this card will allow you to rent equipment around the world.
-
Do you offer customized travel itineraries?Yes, we provide customised travel itineraries tailored to your specific adventure preferences. Please contact us to discuss your needs and we will create a personalised travel plan for you.
-
Is the training/tuition included in the trip price?Scheduled Group lessons are included. Equipment and rentals are not included in the trip price.
-
What type of tuition is available? We conduct tuition for beginners, intermediate, and advanced riders (Progress Clinic) in small groups and individually.
-
What does our tuition look like?Tuition for beginners and intermediate students is carried out according to IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) and BKSA (British Kitesurfing Association) standards. The instructor communicates via radio with the students, and progress is analysed using video and photos. The latest equipment is used.
-
Do we offer advance tuition?Yes, we do advanced training. This is on your equipment, during which we learn new things or improve already acquired skills. The trainers are people with extensive training and competition experience, often specializing in many kitesurfing disciplines: freestyle, old school, wake, strapless, foil, and wing. The scope of the training is very extensive - from switch, through the first jumps and rotations, to unhooked tricks. We also offer directional, foil, and wing training. Classes are held in a group of max 10 people, but each participant determines their own tricks they want to learn and the issues they want to explore. The trainer leading focuses more individually on each person's program. For example, 2 people from the entire group want to learn e.g. frontroll, so the Instructor works on this trick with these specific people. During the trip, training is divided into several sessions a day on the water, video or photo analysis, and theory.
-
Can I book private lessons during the trip?Of course, but since the number of instructors is limited, the number of available private lessons is limited too. We recommend booking those well in advance to guarantee a place. Private lessons are booked on a first-come first-serve basis.
-
How many hours of group tuition per day is included in the price?Sessions are up to 2 hours at a time. Depending on the weather conditions, we try to hold a session at least twice a day, e.g. one session after breakfast and another after lunch.
-
Do I need to have my own equipment?Yes, you need to bring your equipment. If you don't have your own equipment, you can rent it from us. We can also help you to purchase suitable equipment ahead of the holidays, at any budget, at https://s2as.com/
-
How does the rental process work?Participants who want to rent equipment for our trips should contact us at least 2 weeks ahead of the departure date. If you're not local to Poole, the equipment will be sent to your home address by courier. Upon return from the trip, you will be obliged to return the equipment in the same way. You are also responsible for booking sports baggage and paying for it. To discuss the cost, please contact us. It will depend on the size of the set and the number of days. NOTE: Xtreme Nomads provide the equipment for the group tuition sessions.
-
If I rent equipment and it is too small/ big for the weather conditions, can I use the size available during the trip?Yes, if additional equipment is available. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. The rental cost will be calculated based on the hours of use.
-
What kites should I take for the trip? (applies to people with their own and rented equipment)Preferably all that you have and can take. When packing before your departure, you can check the forecast and assume what kites you will most often need. But a forecast, as a forecast is, can play a trick on us. That's why we always recommend taking everything you can before leaving :) and, of course, consult us if you need anything.
-
